Our story

A moving firm for the CR districts

Croydon Removals grew from a simple observation: the moves that go wrong here go wrong for local reasons. A lorry sent to a high-rise with no loading-bay booking. A crew that’s never met a Wellesley Road goods lift. A quote read off a screen that swells the minute the van arrives. We built a firm to move Croydon households the way the borough actually is — high and low, town-centre and Surrey-edge — and to do it with a little composure.

Where we come from

We’re based in Croydon and we work the CR districts — Croydon, South Croydon, Purley, Coulsdon, Thornton Heath, Norbury, Addiscombe, Selsdon and Sanderstead — and out into the neighbouring boroughs and the Surrey edge. Between us we’ve moved more south-London homes and offices than we could count, from a lift-only town-centre flat to a full house bound for Tuscany.

The same firm runs a European arm, because a fair few of the households and businesses we pack aren’t staying in south London — they’re bound for France, Spain and Italy, and they want the people who packed the box to be the people who deliver it.

How we’d rather work

Composed enough to leave the communal parts and the paintwork the way we found them. Locally enough to know which block needs a booked lift and which drive takes a lorry. Plainly enough that you always know what’s happening and what it costs. We answer our own phone and quote our own jobs — the person you speak to first sees your move through.

We won’t dress the firm up with things that aren’t true. There are no invented review counts on this site, no award badges we didn’t earn, no press logos we can’t stand behind. When real reviews and credentials come in, they’ll go here — and not before.

What we hold to

Four things, straight

No. 01

Composed before quick

A high-rise move with a booked lift is a matter of planning, not haste. We’d rather have it timed right than rushed and scraped.

No. 02

Quoted in writing

We don’t read a number off the top of our heads. You get it in writing, based on the actual job, so the price on the day is the price we agreed.

No. 03

Local before large

We’d rather be the firm that knows the borough’s blocks and back streets than a national badge that doesn’t. The place is our advantage, and yours.

No. 04

Straight before flash

We won’t invent star ratings, award badges or a fleet of vans we don’t run. What we say we do, we do.

A few details is all we need to start. We read every enquiry ourselves and work out a proper quote once we understand the job — no automated figures, no pressure.
